357 days of married bliss and counting!

So they say the first year anniversary is paper.

Being the non-traditional, traditional people that we are, we assumed "paper" meant the card board paper that is used on the outside of new shiny electronics! So we are breaking tradition and saying the first anniversary (since it is the year 2010) is the year of electronics!!! We gave each other a new phone and a new 46inch tv-at the moment, I can't think of which one is better.

Life as we know it......

2010 seems to be trucking right along!!! It is almost the middle of of June and it doesn't seem like life is going to slow down anytime soon. We both thought last year flew by, and why not: planning for a wedding, having a wedding shower, taking a REAL vacation, losing a loved one, losing a job. It was a big year for us! Once we got Peter settled into a new job, I thought I would fall right into place too----being without a job I almost feel busier than with one!

Georgia is treating us nice! We have to admit we were a little hesitant about the thought of "hot, southern weather". We are actually preferring the GA heat to the AR heat. We will see if we still feel the same way come late July and early August.

Peter fell right into sync in his new job. We are biding our time until the traveling kicks into effect at work. It will be hard to be gone, but the income flow will pick up a tad which is nice with a single family income (presently).

We are excited to the kickoff of summer/kickoff to travel season. The Shuck's have been down here a couple times to visit in the short few months we have lived here. Mikaela is scheduled to spend a few weeks with us in July, along with a visit from Christopher and Sean in July or August. Currently Ted is in the planning process of a long weekend to middle GA in early September!!! We love to have visitors and Calvin and Bella like it too!

Life as we know it is going good, and there is not too much we can complain about!

Moving South

Well we know we have been quiet since the wedding (over six months ago), too be honest we have been pretty dull until the past month. The big news is we are moving down to Warner Robins, Georgia. After the layoffs at Pete's old company we were on the hunt and a great opportunity came up and we took. Granted neither of us knew where Warner Robins was till we looked it up.

So we are super excited and will be leaving the state of Arkansas this weekend! We will miss it, not the DMV or any other state funded institutions (another story), but other parts like our favorite sushi place or ZaZa's great salads.

Other big news is with this change we decided to upgrade Amanda's car and get a bigger one so that was exciting too.

Now back to the not so exciting part...packing.

It is finally to the point where we are now just a married couple! The wedding preparation was all worth the wonderful time we had with family and friends partying until the wee hours of Saturday morning!


We are relaxing and resting up to have a great few days in Vegas!!!! You know what they say:

"Whatever happens in Vegas, will STAY in Vegas"!!! More details to come.....

Wedding planning updates....

We are at the markdown where it is under 20 days and it is very exciting, yet scary at the same time! We can both remember when it was at the 100 day mark and it seemed forever for it to get to this point.

We have almost officially been engaged for a year and are loving our lives together thus far.

Little Rock is still treating us well. We are all settled into our new apartment and have already had many more visitors then we had ever expected-keep it coming! Amanda is starting her vacation one week from today and Peter will be shortly behind him.

While Amanda has been busy planning, Peter has been hanging out with the dogs and relaxing! Tough life being the groom.

Countdown

Less than 3 weeks now til the big day. We can't wait to see everyone.
